Pure Land helps fund hospital research
PURE Land Learning College is continuing to help the community, helping fund health research. Venerable Master Chin Kung presented the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation and the Toowoomba Hospice with $120,000 each at a ceremonial lunch. With the help of a translator, Venerable Master Chin Kung expressed how happy he was to help the Darling Downs community. .

Academy of Sinology launched between the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and the Chin Kung Multi-Cultural Foundation
The launch was part of the first International Interfaith Symposium for Harmony and World Peace, during which Professor Medwin Hughes, DL, Vice-Chancellor and the Venerable Master Chin Kung signed an agreement to establish the Academy of Sinology (the study of ancient China through ancient Chinese religions, texts, language and history). The Academy, whose mission is to “open the path to peace”.

Faiths as the Foundation
The first time Greg Rudd visited Tangchi town in Anhui province's Lujiang county in 2007, he felt ambivalent, at best. Rudd says he went there with an open mind. He has a background in politics and business. Rudd runs a consultancy in Beijing, Hong Kong, Canberra, Australia, and London for companies seeking investment opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region in the areas of power, renewable energy, water and agriculture. And he served as a minister in the Australian government in the 1990s.

A Million Dollar Donation!
In December 2000, the Venerable Master Chin Kung of the Amitabaha Buddhist Association of Singapore presented a cheque for One Million Dollars to Griffith University for the Multi-Faith Centre.The Venerable Master is shown here presenting the cheque to the Chancellor, Ms Leneen Forde, in the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Professor L.R.
